One of the most popular fabrics around the world has a new performance feature that protects the wearer from wet conditions. According to Bill Rearick, Director of Finishing Research at Cotton Incorporated the look, feel, and fashion of denim is being maintained while adding this water repellent feature called Storm Denim.
Heavy fabric takes a long time to dry and when it gets wet it becomes less comfortable and can even make you cold. Rearick explains how this technology makes denim even move versatile.
Rearick says the storm denim treatment is the very last processing step and is applied in garment form.
