The House Ag subcommittee on General Commodities and Risk Management today voted unanimously to extend the 2002 farm bill's commodity title rather than make the changes in target prices and loan rates for crops proposed by Agriculture Chairman Peterson. Jay Hardwick, Chairman of the American Cotton Producers attended the subcommittee meeting.
Hardwick says support of the U.S. textile industry was a hallmark for the cotton competitiveness package.
