B.t. technology was first introduced in 1996 in the cotton market. That same technology is now being used in corn. With the recent crop shifts across the cotton belt, university researchers are concerned two different crops with the same B.t. technology could affect insect populations. Dr. Scott Stewart, Integrated Pest Management Specialist for the University of Tennessee is especially concerned about resistance management.
