Since trade talks broke down between the U.S. and China, the President has directed the Department of Agriculture to begin work on an assistance package for U.S. farmers. Reece Langley, Vice President of Washington Operations for the National Cotton Council, joins us to talk about how the Council will be involved. Langley also touches on another topic important to cotton farmers – the disaster aid bill and its progress in the House of Representatives.
